Southwestern Latilla Sticks |
|
Latilla is from the Spanish word Lata, meaning stick. These "sticks" are used
as a traditional ceiling material, laid between beams or vigas. Latillas
are cut from spruce or pine and are available in varying lengths and diameters.
At greater lengths (10' and above) the natural taper of the stick becomes a concern - a longer latilla
can change a full inch in diameter from butt to tip.
This product can be a very beautiful and traditional product. However, traditional can sometimes be
labor intensive and thereby expensive. Because of this, we offer an alternative to traditional latillas
in our Latilla Ceiling Panel™.
